Important Software Update
|
|
|
In August we released a FREE update to the Resources CD-ROM just for you!
The update gives you the ability to verify your current version of Adobe Reader, and if necessary will prompt you to install the latest version. This will ensure you are able to open and view all of the eBook products you currently own.
The update also provides the option to verify your monitors display resolution. Many of our members are using the outdated 800 x 600 screen resolution and many of our latest releases take advantage of the newer screen resolution of 1024 x 768. If you try viewing a product built for 1024 x 768 screen resolution and your monitor’s settings are set at the 800 x 600 resolution, a portion of the CD-ROM interface appears to be “cut off” of the screen. This update attempts to fix this issue.
In addition, the update also provides the ability to download the correct editable “Bookstore Brochure.” The Bookstore Brochure included on the Resources CD-ROM does not currently give our Members the ability to edit the header area. If accessed via this update, the header and footer are both editable.
Finally, the update provides valuable System Information specific to your personal computer which our Customer Service may request when you call in for technical support, and the update provides a direct link to the Software Billions Club’s Members Area. This is handy if you’re not familiar with the Internet and need a quick and easy way to get to our web site.
The SBC Resources CD-ROM update is available for download by clicking on the “Extras” section of the Resources CD-ROM and can also be downloaded by visiting the Updates section of our web site.

New Bookstore and Members Area Updates : August 2008

We’ve been busy this month enhancing the Software Billions Club Members Area and your bookstore featuring 250 FREE WEB SITES for you!
Here’s a list of the many updates we’ve made this month:
- We’re continuing work on a dozen computer training video tutorials which will debut the 2nd or 3rd week in September.
- We added the New Monthly Product to your bookstore web sites.
- We created an “update tool” to help you verify and modify settings on your computer so that our products are accessible using the latest technologies including content on the Resources CD-ROM and in the Members Area.
- Added a “Remove Additional Options” button to the View Bookstore Settings page which allows you to delete unsupported HTML code that prevents you from updating and saving changes to your bookstore.
- Added clarification to PayPal options, corrected bookstore URL and added descriptions to META Tag features of the Edit Bookstore Settings page.
- We’re creating an Icon View for the Members Area Homepage, which will seperate the Members Area main page into categorized sections with icons to make it easier to locate and access your Membership Benefits and manage your account and bookstore settings. This new feature will be unveiled the first week in September.

Training DVD Update
